METS

METS (a division of Shaft Sinkers (Pty) Ltd.) is the business development arm of the Shaft Sinker group of companies.  It is ISO9001-2000 accredited and possesses extensive knowledge and expertise in underground construction and allied fields.

METS is an international operation and has been involved in projects in Africa, North and South America, Australia, Europe, India and Russia.

The division is operational in the fields of engineering, procurement and contracts management.  It provides comprehensive consultancy and design services to the mining and civil engineering industries worldwide including :

-   Conceptual design

-   Exploratory works

-   Mine design and modelling

-   Mine systems and process evaluation both on surface and underground

-   Shaft and shaft equipment design, including shaft steelwork, conveyances, skips, cages, loading arrangements and water 

     handling systems
